The official premise does not explain Eddie's full history, motives, or final fate. Those details remain open before the retail release.
What the demo confirms
The diner phone call directs Walker toward the Crimson Bear Motel. Eddie's dossier says that the motel confirmed a guest under the Velvet name, and the motel guest ledger places Eddie in the Grizzly Suite.
Later demo sequences connect Eddie with the Rabbit Hole performance and “A Ride to the Stars,” pushing Walker's investigation toward the cable car area. These are demo observations, not a complete explanation of the retail story.
Red Walker's connection to Eddie
Walker is not introduced as Eddie's friend. He is a private investigator working for a client who wants Eddie found. The client repeatedly focuses Walker on the job, even as the town becomes more dangerous and difficult to explain.
